Quick Start Guide & Basic Features
Welcome to the SignToSee Help Center! SignToSee is a European software platform designed for freelancers, consultants, designers, and small agencies who want to protect sensitive files (like links, pitch decks, and prototypes) before they are shared.
Instead of sending a standard URL or unprotected file, you place your content behind a secure gate. The recipient can only view the material after actively accepting a short NDA or non-use agreement. This acceptance is registered as legally viable evidence complete with a timestamp, verified email address, IP address, and a hash-linked audit log.

Recipients must review and agree to terms before viewing files or links.

6-digit OTP verification ensures identity verification to a specific email.

1. The Creator Dashboard
Upon logging into your account, you will land on the Creator Dashboard. This is your central hub for generating links and tracking activity. Here is a breakdown of the key metrics you will see:
Total Gateways
The overall number of secure links created on your account.
Live Links
The secure links that are currently active and can still be opened by your recipients.
Verified Signatures
The number of signatures/agreements you have successfully received.
Monthly Creations
The number of secure links generated during the current month.
Storage
The available storage space on your account (in GB).

2. Step 1: Setting Up Your Terms (NDA)
Before you share a file, you need to configure the agreement the recipient must sign. Click on the Terms Setup (NDA) button from your dashboard.
You can either use a standard boilerplate template provided by SignToSee, or toggle "Use Custom NDA Text" to paste your own legal contract entirely. To set up a standard template, fill out the following fields:
Give your agreement a custom name for your own internal organization (e.g., "High-Risk Pitch Deck").
Select the specific type of product or material you are sharing from the dropdown menu (e.g., Illustration, Pitch Deck, Prototype).
If desired, you can configure a fixed monetary penalty (Liquidated Damages) for breaches of the contract.
Define how long the agreement remains legally binding. Depending on the selected Asset Label, this may fill in automatically.
Select the country whose laws will apply to the agreement.

3. Step 2: Creating a Secure Link
With your terms established, you are ready to create your secure link. Click the blue Secure New Link button on your dashboard.
Basic Details
Gate Name
Name the link for your own records.
NDA Template
Choose the template you created in the previous step.
File Payload
Upload a file (available on premium plans like Sentinel+) or paste a URL link to your content.
Advanced Security Options
Link Expiry
Set a time limit for how long the link will remain active (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days).
Allow Download
Toggle this on if you want the recipient to be able to save the raw file to their device.
Whitelisted Email(s)
For strict access control, enter the exact email addresses allowed to open the link. If an unauthorized email attempts to enter, access is blocked. If left blank, anyone with the link can access it.
Regional Restriction
Restrict access to a specific geographic location (e.g., EU-only or selected countries).
Click Generate to begin the encryption process. Once complete, your secure link is ready to be shared.

4. Step 3: The Recipient Experience
You can send the generated link via any method (Email, WhatsApp, direct message)—the platform you use to send the link does not impact its security.
NDA Presentation
They are immediately presented with the customized NDA/Confidentiality Agreement.
Identity Verification Input
They must input their professional email address.
Note: If the email does not match the whitelisted emails you configured, they receive an "Access Restricted" screen.
Active Legal Consent
They must check the required boxes to actively agree to the terms, the contract, and privacy policies.
One-Time Passcode (OTP)
After clicking "Verify & View," a 6-digit verification code is emailed to them.
Instant Secure Access
Once the correct code is entered, the document is unlocked and presented.

5. Step 4: Tracking & Audit Trails
Once the recipient executes the agreement, both parties receive a confirmation email containing the executed agreement text, a timestamp, and a transaction hash.
On your Creator Dashboard, your link will update its status (e.g., to "Live"). If you click on the specific Gate, you unlock deep analytical tools:
Access Management
View total signatures, live tokens, and revoked signatures. You can see exactly which whitelisted emails have executed the document and their live status.
Audit Trail
Click the "Audit Trail" tab to view a detailed, hash-linked log. This includes the verified email, detected IP location, browser/device information, and exact timestamps.
Evidence Export
From the Audit Trail menu, you can click Export Audit Ledger (in verifiable JSON format) or Get Evidence to download a comprehensive evidence package for legal safekeeping.
